About RICHARD

I grew up in the northern forests and farmland of Saskatchewan, in a family that valued early mornings, hard work, and getting your hands dirty. In my case, my hands were covered in graphite, watercolours, acrylics and oils. I moved to Calgary to attend the Alberta College of Art.

With no roadmap in sight, I graduated and began working a series of odd jobs (a bouncer, radio switcher, and a stuntman to name a few) before finally settling into a full creative life: illustrating, writing, designing, and painting. I am in my most natural state when I am making something. My brain is constantly forming new ideas as if to give my hands reason to keep moving, never ceasing. I could not live true to my passions if I were not blessed with the love and support I have continuously received throughout my life.

Thank you
